I formatted my 3230 in the mothod below
1. Make sure you have at least 3/4 charge of battery power left.
2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card.
3. Switch-off your 3230 phone.
4. Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to swtich on the 6600 phone.
Remember, do not let go the 3 press and hold keys until you see a formatting word screen show!
5. After a few minutes when the Full phone formatting completed, your 3230 will back to original system and factory settting.

I tried 2 format my 3230 as per yr advice but it is not formating.It just starts as usual.Also I keep on getting the message memory full delete some data.I think there is some virus.Pl.help me to format the phone.thanks Mr.Prem
You can also format using Restore Factory setting .. for this you need to know the security code.
also try to delete some extra files in you phone & uninstall non-default softwares
Try formatting after removing memory card.
In my nokia 3230, software got corrupted, even after factory default settings and formatting by all available ways could not help, hence I given to nokia service center, lower parel, they said booting part need to be changed and will charge Rs. 1500/- or more by this estimate i could not convince and i took back my nokia 3230 from them after paying checking charges Rs. 112/- they are real fraud peoples. Nokia service peoples dont see anything just looting peoples. Hence I will request others that please dont give mobile to them instead go to manish market at fort mumbai. My nokia 3230 repaired in Rs. 150 just, i got good person at near Khar station Mini Nokia service center, opposite Gangar store. Bhagavtibhi is real gem.
I had forgotten the lock code of my nokia 3230.i had even formatted it sevral times.please suggest me the way to recover the code.
I had also forgotten the code of my nokia 3230 . Only thing you can do in this case is goto a Nokia Care & reload the OS of phone.

sir, aside from pressing the green dial key, the no. 3 key and the asterisk key *, is there any other ways on how to format Nokia3230? I have this kind of problem in my phone, the phone automatically select the menu or the contacts or any other programs in there even if I haven't selected or even if I haven't use it yet.

well i had a very typical problem in my phone whenever i switch on my ph a blank screen appears and phone behaves like a torch i thought of taking my ph to nokia care but they always make a bill of 500 or more even if the prob is very small.
I was looking for this sort of code and it worked .

I have formatted the phone but the problem of blank screen appearing after sometime still continues...also sometimes screen becomes dull.
